nest

Private beta · Updated October 25, 2026

Your thoughts.
Your data.

Nest is an early beta for organizing personal project context. Here is what happens to the information you share.

What Nest keeps

Your Google sign-in identity, name and email; the context you import; your submitted capture text and voice transcripts; and the projects, people, documents, tasks and connections created from them. Capture history also keeps the source text and processing records used for retries and Undo.

AI processing

Relevant captures and saved project context are sent to OpenAI to interpret, organize and summarize them. Pictures are sent for understanding and audio for transcription. Original picture and audio files are not archived in Nest’s database. An unsent or failed attachment can remain in your browser draft until it is sent successfully or removed.

A URL in a capture may be fetched to understand its contents. Public research may also be used when relevant. Avoid submitting passwords, access tokens or information you are not comfortable sharing with these services.

Hosting and access

Vercel hosts the app. Supabase provides PostgreSQL storage and Google authentication. OpenAI provides AI processing. Your workspace is scoped to your signed-in account; other invited users cannot browse it. The Nest operator can access production data for support and operations. This is not end-to-end encrypted storage.

Connected AI assistants

Connecting an assistant through MCP grants that assistant access to your Nest context. Write access is optional. Only information requested or sent through its tools is exchanged; Nest does not automatically import all your conversations. Revoke a connection from Settings → Connect your AI tools. The connected assistant’s own data policies also apply.

Your controls

Settings includes a workspace export. You can delete artifacts and undo supported changes. “Clean history” hides Inbox receipts; it does not erase their source records or extracted knowledge. Deleted artifacts can remain in storage to support Undo.

There is no automatic retention period or self-service account deletion in this beta. For complete workspace deletion or support, contact the person who invited you to Nest. Do not rely on Nest as the only copy of important information; keep an export.
